IT Essentials
Starts Feb, May. 6 weeks, 9.00am-12.30am Ksh 20,000

This course covers basic understandings of the Windows operating systems and file structure, computer hardware architecture, technologies and troubleshooting procedures.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to select the appropriate technologies for their organization, optimize the computer environment, troubleshoot various operating system problems, service computer hardware and have the knowledge to troubleshoot and solve problems related to computer hardware and software.

Entry requirements
To be eligible for admission into the IT Essentials course, a candidate must satisfy one of the following:
      A MED certificate in Computer Literacy
     Pass a MED computer literacy exam
Only upon successful completion of exams in DOC02, XLS02, MDB01, CAL02 and ENG02 will students be allowed to progress to level two of the course.
